Welcome to Hitherwood Consulting, a specialist business improvement consultancy with particular experience in the building and construction industry. Our particular approach is to work closely with each client team to explore, design and implement changes to their business that achieve the required goals.

Specific themes that we bring to each assignment are:

  • the importance of communication and engagement in implementing successful change and improvement
  • the need to step back from the day-to-day activities to appreciate the broader perspective of business change
  • the value of an independent view that can test and challenge your assumptions.

Supporting the implementation of BIM

The UK Government's adoption of the UK BIM Framework is a retatement of its mandate for BIM Level 2 from April 2016. Many people and organisations are working to develop supporting guidance for the industry, and Hitherwood Consulting is pleased to be playing its part. We have been working through BSI with the ISO and CEN groups developing new standards, and through the UK BIM Alliance in its tripartite agreement with BSI and CDBB to deliver a single guidance framework for UK industry.

We have also been helping commercial clients to understand what BIM means for them, through consultancy support and training.

Seeing the built environment from a life-cycle perspective

Many built asset owners and project clients now understand the importance of understanding the whole life-cycle - financially, environmentally and socially. Hitherwood Consulting provides training and other technical support for owners, clients, asset/facilities managers and project delivery teams.

We would be happy to discuss your specific needs at a no-obligation meeting - please call David Churcher on 07900 254090, or email david.churcher@hitherwood.co.uk.
